Kundalini yoga is a practice believed to be up to 40,000 years old that until just nearly half a century ago had been taught in secret from master to disciple. This form of yoga is known for elevating your consciousness and awakening your creative potential. As such, it was seen as a threat to those in power. Thanks to Yogi Bhajan, a Kundalini yoga master and Sikh who brought this sacred science to the West in the late 1960s, we can now use it to reclaim our own power. It is known as "the yoga of awareness" and utilizes breath, yogic postures, hand positions called mudras, and mantras, which are chanted in the ancient languages of Sanskrit or Gurmukhi. Each kriya, or set of exercises, is designed to balance the nervous and glandular systems, as well as the subtle energy centers known as chakras.

Kelly Knaub/Ajeet Kirtan Kaur is a Kundalini yoga teacher and intuitive empowerment coach for women who also practices Reiki, shamanic healing, and aromatherapy. She is honored to pass on the teachings of Kundalini yoga and meditation, which have completely transformed her life. Her journey with yoga began in the late 1990s and eventually led to nearly a decade of study in Kripalu yoga before she stepped onto her Kundalini path. Her intention is to uplift and empower students by helping them connect to their higher selves and to hold space for their self­ awareness and healing.
