There are a variety of psychic experiences which are metaphysical (beyond the five senses) in nature. There is an ambiguity with the use of the word metaphysics. Some use the word as “beyond physics”, while for some it is “beyond physical”. But here we will refer to it as “beyond physical.”For some people they are born with these metaphysical skills, while for some they acquire it as they grow older. But beyond the desire to acquire such skills, it is best first and foremost to commune with the will of God (Brahman). By achieving that unity with the Creator, the unfathomable, all-knowing, ever present Brahman; we are made perfect and united with God and His creation. Hence, our creation will be as perfect as that of God’s.

Take for example his holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. Upon his reincarnation he has full remembrance of the previous items he used like his eyeglasses and his mala (See the 1997 movie entitled Kundun.) Such skill of remembering a past life is truly beyond the five senses. There are other skills such as the gift of prophecy – the ability to see the future while being awake, and a similar one, that is, having prophetic dreams among other skills.
